Health Tourism in the Region Regensburg

(No. 164) As part of its location analysis on the healthcare industry, BioPark Regensburg GmbH has supported a bachelor thesis at the Technical University of Deggendorf, which deals with the question regarding the establishment of a health tourism cluster. 

Current BioPark Business Report 2015

(No. 163) The current development of the life science companies in the BioRegion Regensburg demonstrates a mild increase in the number of companies and rising numbers of employees. The new business figures presented by BioPark Regensburg GmbH for 2015 for the cluster in East Bavaria amount to 51 companies and 3,863 employees.

(No. 162) The industry network Forum MedTech Pharma e.V., in which BioPark Regensburg GmbH is a member, has collected current data on medtech. In addition to manufacturers and suppliers and service providers were included. According to this a total of 1,000 companies and 80,000 employees are working in this industry.

(No. 162) The initial results of the location analysis on the health sector were presented by the consulting company Capgemini Consulting at the BioPark. They show a series of opportunities for the region. 

Startup Weekend at BioPark Regensburg

(Nr. 161) Start-up in three days ! That was the goal of 50 start-up enthusiasts from the region who met this weekend at the BioPark. Seven start-up teams used this opportunity and put their ideas into business models in a brief amount of time with the support of their mentors.

FIT production new in BioRegio Regensburg

(Nr. 160) The company operating in Lupburg near Parsberg in Upper Palatinate is the newest addition to the cluster from the field of medical technology. With state-of-the-art 3D printers individual implants made of titanium are produced as prototypes or for patients in series production.

(Nr. 160) The company located in the BioPark shone in autumn with two pieces of good news. One was the successful completion of a further round of financing and the second the successful addition of a remarkable personality to the management. 

Event with Bavarian State Minister Aigner at BioPark Regensburg

(Nr. 159) For the occasion of the series of events "Economy Talks in the Region. Forming Bavaria’s Future" Bavarian State Minister Ilse Aigner invited 150 guests from the region to a dialogue at BioPark Regensburg. To begin with she visited the company Lophius Biosciences in-house.
